About us

Sul’Art Ltd is a social enterprise working with the wider community through the arts. Our mission is to promote and preserve African-Caribbean cultures and heritage through workshops, performances and exhibitions.

Sul’Art Ltd was created out of the inspiration and hard work of Alphonse Daudet Touna, a well-known Bristol based artist.  Over the past 5 years communities in Bristol and the South West, individuals and also groups have benefited from his services. With the support of local institutions such as Bristol City Council and other funders such as the Heritage Lottery Fund, Sul’Art has covered and managed a variety of events and projects in and around the Bristol area such as: COSTA (Commemoration of Slave Trade Abolition), Young Offenders Institutions Program, King Cotton, The Black Bristolian Project and Welcome Summer among others. The work Sul’Art is doing reflects his credibility and the competence of his Trustees and staff members.

Sul’Art is now taking another step with entrenchment and partnership building with other Organisations to satisfy the community needs and achieve its aims and objectives.

Sul'Art is supported by experienced and competent trustee board members:
Chris Chapman
Chandra Wilby
Rev Richard Mckay
John Farquharson
Alphonse Daudet Touna (Poject Manager)
